City star Mahrez loses ‘three luxury watches’ to robbers

first_img Loading… Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez has reportedly become the latest Premier League star to be targeted by robbers, who stole around £500,000 worth of items from his luxury penthouse. According to the Sun, three watches, money, bracelets and rare football shirts were among the items taken. The robbers are said to have been tracking Mahrez closely, with a source telling the publication that the three watches were “stolen to order”. There’s no doubt it was stolen to order.” The thieves are said to have obtained a key fob to access the block of flats where Mahrez is staying, according to a letter sent to residents. “Four apartments were accessed without authority using a fob which had general access throughout the building”, the letter read. “The fob in question is now in our possession, has been fully deactivated and cannot be used again.” A Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman said of the robbery: “At around 5pm on Friday April 24, police were called to reports that four separate apartments had been burgled at a city centre block.” It comes after it was revealed that a number of Premier League stars had bought guard dogs in the wake of the raid on Dele Alli.
