Yes, “smartphones” it is this time. For the first time since the OnePlus X, OnePlus is going back to releasing two devices together at the same time – OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. The OnePlus 7 Pro is ideally supposed to be the next generation offering while the OnePlus 7 will essentially be an update to last year’s model for the price conscious buyers. So far, the leaks have revealed a lot about the two variants. In short, the OnePlus 7 will be an updated OnePlus 6T with the new Snapdragon 855 chipset and some minor refinements. The OnePlus 7 Pro will be truly a generation upgrade with major new features and design. Here’s a brief is what we know about the phones.OnePlus 7 Pro specs and features– OnePlus 7 Pro will likely sport a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with curved edges and no notches. An optical in-display fingerprint sensor is also expected to be there.– The front camera will sit in the pop-up module similar to what we saw in the Vivo Nex. This is not yet confirmed by OnePlus, but leaks suggest this too is a certainty.– There will be a triple rear camera setup – 48-megapixel primary camera + 16-megapixel wide-angle camera + 8-megapixel telephoto camera — on the rear.advertisement– OnePlus will surely use the Snapdragon 855 chipset. The device could come with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.– There could be a 4000mAh battery that will come with support for 30W Warp Charging.– Leaks suggest OnePlus 7 Pro may get flagship territory pricing. However, on the basis of all that we know so far, we can draw possible conclusions.Should you spend a premium for the OnePlus 7 Pro? Possibly yes — if you care about the most premium smartphone experience from the Android universe. From what OnePlus has hinted so far, and along with the leaks, the OnePlus 7 Pro will be a true flagship phone. Compared to the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Apple iPhone XR, the OnePlus 7 Pro will hold an edge with its rumoured 90Hz Curved AMOLED display. Additionally, with the pop-up selfie camera design, the OnePlus 7 Pro will offer a true fullscreen display – a feature that no other flagship phone offers presently.OnePlus phones have also been known to be the fastest Android phones, often competing with Apple’s latest iPhone models in terms of fluid performance. On top of that, clean bloat-free user experience also draws consumers. Then there is the OnePlus community that also plays an important role in developing the Oxygen OS UI, hence it keeps getting many meaningful features. On the other hand, OnePlus 7 will still be a good deal for those who only prefer the fast OnePlus user experience and want a phone with a tried-and-tested form factor. In fact, for those want the no-nonsense premium Android phone with flagship-levels of performance, the OnePlus 7 could be the ideal choice for those people. That said, do keep an eye for review of the phones over here at the India Today Tech once they launch in India on May 14.ALSO READ | Samsung opens world’s largest Onyx Cinema LED screen in IndiaALSO READ | OnePlus officially confirms coming of OnePlus 7 Pro, reveals it will have triple rear camerasALSO READ | OnePlus 7 to launch on May 14, OnePlus offers Indian fans chance to be part of launch eventadvertisementGet real-time alerts and all the news on your phone with the all-new India Today app. Download from Post your comment Do You Like This Story?
